doesn't look nice. Furthermore it is much more difficult to click in the
input-area for a new message and/or to focus the window. So i already
heard developers thinking about changing this, too. Would this help you?

NOW we're complaining? I complained that two lines is too small back on
03/04/2008 at 12:56:24 PM and have complained about this issue several
times. As much as the developers love their auto-sizing feature, I love
the manual sizing feature. I hate the that autosize spazzes out the UI
when it jumps. It just looks like crap. I am a stauch supporter of if they
want to keep auto-sizing make it an '''OPTION'''.

If you absolutely must make manual sizing only via a plug-in, it should be
distributed with Pidgin - there are 20 other plugins most of which do
nothing for me, what's one more? Sure, there is a binary of the plug-in
'''now''' (does it work with 2.4.1?) but for quite a while it was just
source. How is having a plug-in any better than an option in Preferences?
A click on one place vs a click in another place. That said, If they won't
make it a preference I cannot imagine they will make it a bundled plug-in.
