 If you want some perspective on it, look at it this way. Auto-sizing
 should be filed under "stupid window tricks", along with smooth-scrolling.
 Smooth-scrolling that the devs insisted for ages was a great idea until
 they finally capitulated and added an option that allows users to restore
 pidgin to ''consistent'' behavior and removes irritating graphical
 glitches. In the backwater swirling, there are some things that will never
 change.
