 Greetings,

 I am also getting the same result with trying to connect to AIM.  I am
 getting the message from the debug window:

 (22:32:33) oscar: unable to connect FLAP server of type 0x0017

 I have both Windows XP and Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon (7.10) and Pidgin is unable
 to connect on both platforms.  I've tried using other IM clients and they
 are connecting fine.  I also have downloaded the latest version (2.4.0).

 I'd like to note that at work, my work computer running Ubuntu dapper
 drake is running GAIM and it connected fine.
