 I also just registered to request for this bug to be fixed.[[BR]]
 Because of this new "feature" I had to drop pidgin for another IM client,
 which is fairly sad.

 I want static size, not dynamic.[[BR]]
 Dynamic resizing is obviously obtrusive, as all the comments here have
 already stated.
