 What about putting a sensible error message then? This shouldn't be
 something overly hard to implement. I just "guessed" that maybe it could
 be the directory after about an hour of playing around with it. I'm sure
 I'm not the only one who has run into this problem and I'm sure most of
 the other people would have given up and either looked for a binary
 package or simply used another program.
