 I do have the same problem. I have it with 2.4.0 and 2.4.1 and all other
 2.x.x versions (including 2.0.0beta7). At this point I'm unable to use
 Pidgin at all (except with Solaris and Linux).

 HW Platform: Dell Inspiron 1501
 OS: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit) with SP1.
