 Enabling plugins by default is something your distribution/distributor of
 pidgin is responsible for. And as I explained it is only directly in the
 Windows version because we got sick of listening to Windows users complain
 about how hard it was to load a plugin that shipped with pidgin. Linux
 users by-and-large have not complained in that way.
