Comment:

 I have more than once been in the process of composing an IM for more than
 a minute (not to mention that it is entirely reasonably to be 'stopped
 typing' for periods of time longer than one minute), which is exactly the
 problem with 'heuristics' such as this. If, however, pidgin noticed that
 the buddy went offline and still persisted in displaying the typing
 notification indicators then that is something we should fix.
