 I have this problem in 2.4.0 and 2.4.1. Error report (buggy client) when
 recieving å ä ö (swedish characters) from for example meebo or icq.
 Outgoing msgs are fine though. A friend thought it had to do with the
 GTKstuff somehow, so I downgraded to 2.3.1...

 In 2.3.1 sending and recieving those chars works fine, not in 2.4.0 or
 2.4.1, where only sending them works, not recieving. Tested against meebo
 and icqtogo.

 originally posted as changes to #4529 - but that ticket was referring to
 2.3.1 so I opened this new one reffering to 2.4.1.
