 You would need to provide the debug window (Help->Debug Window) output of
 the attempted file transfers in order for us to even begin trying to
 figure out the problem. But if 'jabber messenger' isn't popping up a
 window at all then either they have some client-specific option turned on
 preventing that or they don't support the same file transfer methods
 pidgin does.

 Again, you will need to get the xml that 'jabber messenger' is sending and
 compare that to what pidgin is doing when you 'view profile' versus Get
 Info to see what is going on. I would assume that 'jabber messenger' is
 using some non-standard profile information or is hard-coded to look up
 that information in ways that pidgin does not handle. (Though it could of
 course always just be a standard we don't support yet, there's no way to
 know without the xml output.)
