`--host=i686-apple-darwin9` (for an Intel Mac) or `--host=powerpc-apple-
darwin9` (for a PowerPC Mac) to configure and try again, does that make a
difference?
Nope, using --host= or --build=i686-apple-darwin9 on my Intel Mac didn't
help. Is there a configuration in Pidgin that is telling it to build the
universal binaries?
