 I too am experiencing the same problem. Tested and it's exactly the same
 behavior as described by dmandell, and it happens exactly the same for
 Yahoo!.

 Also, the window button should stop flashing as soon as I '''focus''' or
 '''start typing in the window'''. (Preference to select between the two.)
