 There was a bunch of tickets concerning "Nicserv" AUTH in Irc on connect.
 Yes, I do know about "Buddy Pounches" and "irc helper plugin"

 Quakenet AUTH is different from Nickserv. It requires you to /msg
 Q at CServe.quakenet.org
 Thats a bot, which is always offline. So if you add him to buddys, it
 won't do a thing with pounches.

 Autherisation itself uses different command to go. It should be "AUTH
 <username> <password>" instead of identify or whatever Nickserv does. So,
 it seems cause of it irchelper will not work for that.

 Also, there is no clear answer, why pidgin does not support "On connect"
 options, which were always used in irc clients, and many irc features are
 aleady adressed to that functionality of client.
