Comment:

 Contact the irchelper authors and request that they kindly add support for
 Q on Quakenet, that is the correct place to add this sort of support.
 pidgin has a policy of not doing such things because the number of
 possible authentication systems is large and no standard exists and we do
 not want to keep a constantly changing list of possibilities up-to-date.

 pidgin doesn't support 'on connect' options because we have not seen the
 need for them, a plugin could easily be written to add them using whatever
 command format people were to desire. That being said a plugin could also
 simply just do whatever 'on connect' actions the user wanted directly
 (which is yet another reason we don't support 'on connect' actions
 directly, we support plugins that do as much).
