Comment:

 Most protocols do not support this which means supporting it client side
 is difficult, since it becomes impossible to realistically model the buddy
 list in the server side storage. As such we have decided not to do this.
 Alternative buddy list interfaces could be written which did local
 grouping that allowed for this without interacting with the server-side
 list but the default UI will not.

 This is also a duplicate of #2633 (remember to search closed ticket when
 searching for existing tickets).
