 I don't know. I don't think removing the label would help, but I have no
 idea whether it would actually hurt. (This would be a prime candidate for
 user testing.)

 With the current layout, it would look weird for the protocol menu to not
 have a label while all the other controls had one. It would look a little
 less weird if the menu was centered astride both columns of the rest of
 the controls. It would look even less weird if the menu was outside the
 tabs completely, as I've just suggested in #6869. But that doesn't
 necessarily mean it would be a good idea. :-)
