 Without the label it would span both columns, yes. As I said, see the Add
 Buddy dialog. And as I commented in the other ticket, I'm unaware of any
 other applications that have interfaces like that so I'm unsure that would
 look better and not be seen as 'odd'.

 And yes, user testing is always good, but rather hard to actually
 accomplish.
