 Oh yeah, how about: "The tab bar, if on top, will not show for windows
 with only one conversation."

 Dunno if can get more compact than that if all of the conditions are to be
 described. I give it my all. :-) Maybe one could skip the "if enabled" bit
 if it is placed properly.
