This works fine for me on Linux. I don't see anything Windows specific, so
it could be a GTK+ bug.
Replying to [comment:9 spoof]:
> Not only can you not use the arrow keys, you still cannot start typing
the names of your statuses to jump to them, as described in the original
description.
On Windows, this is a [GnomeBug:520165 GTK+ bug]. See #4966.
