#7809: Pidgin segfaults "randomly"
-----------------------------+----------------------------------------------
 Reporter: isis | Owner: khc
     Type: defect | Status: new
Component: MSN | Version: 2.5.2
 Keywords: segfault, crash |
-----------------------------+----------------------------------------------
It happens if I send a message (yesterday, twice and right after I hit
 ENTER) or if I'm AFK.

Since I use Gtalk,IRC,ICQ and MSN, I tried reproducing the crash with each
 protocol separatedly.

 Gtalk: OK[[BR]]
 MSN : crash[[BR]]
 IRC : OK[[BR]]
 ICQ : OK

When I connect with my MSN account, a window with a warning is displayed.

 Invalid Certification Authority Signature

The certificate chain presented by rsi.hotmail.com doesn't have a valid
digital signature coming from Certification Authority from which it says
 to have a signature.

It happens even when I downgrade to 2.4.1. Note: pidgin for Windows
 (2.4.1) runs with no hassle.

 Gnome 2.22[[BR]]
Pidgin 2.5.2 (plugins activated: extra positions)[[BR]]
 Opensuse 11.0[[BR]]
 kernel 2.6.25.18-0.2-default
