Comment:

 Unfortunately I don't think we can prevent the editing from being turned
 off when focus is lost, I believe (though I could be mistaken) that GTK+
 does that automatically. Even if we could prevent it I'm not sure it would
 be a good idea since that might lead to some rather confusing input
 situations. I do wish there were something better we could do about it
 though. Perhaps we could detect if the mouse was positioned over the buddy
 list and pop up an alias editing dialog when it is not (though I don't
 think I like that much at all).
