#4870: Can't manually type in links anymore in AIM

I dont know when this changed, but it seems to be evident in both the
 official client and pidgin.

There is a gui way to send a link, but that is a pain if I already have
the html for the link. Previous versions of aim, (and pidgin I think)
allowed you type in `<a href='http://linux.slashdot.org'>slashdot</a>` and
you would get a link like this: [http://linux.slashdot.org slashdot]

But now you get some ugly html sometimes linkified correctly sometimes
 not.

In the screen shot I have used aim and pidgin's built in link creation gui
generated links and also a couple ways of writing out the html link and
sent them between aim and pidgin.

I would like to be able to type in a link and have it appear as just the
link title on the other end and be a clickable link.
