 As a new user, this is what I've expected:
 When unselecting "show offline", then if one of the buddies/accounts from
 the (meta)contact Alice is online, then Alice is displayed as online. But,
 the mouse-over tooltip and the zoom/expand functions should display the
 exact same info, regardless of "show offline" option.

 I think that, if Alice has MSN and XMPP, then pidgin should always display
 this information, even if "show offline" is unselected.

 Showing or hiding different information based on whether the account is
 online or not is confusing, in my opinion.

 So, I agree with the person who opened this ticket and I also want this
 fixed, or the proposed new options added.
