 That's the commit message, which is a bit technical :)

 With the changes, the timestamps in the existing conversation log will
 toggle on/off with the 'Options -> Show Timestamps' option (F2).

 I am not going to close this ticket, though. Since people who don't have
 gtk+ 2.8 or above may want a fix too.
