 Hi,

 Unfortunately, I am back reproducing this again.  But this time, the issue
 is when the MUC room is on a different server.  For whatever reason,
 pidgin never pops open a chat window.  Any ideas?

 Both the login server and remote server are Openfire 3.4.4
