 Hi,

 I have attached a 'purple-debug-delay.log'.  Note:

 You can see the auto-join at login work when the presence is sent to the
 room (23:21:45)

 No window appears....

 As another user from another machine, I type 'test' in the room.
 (23:30:37)

 still no window.  Now, as that user I leave the room, nothing happens.
 (23:30:55)

 As that same different user, I join the room. Now the window appears!
 (23:30:57)
 But no MUC history or presence of other users, including myself is shown.

 Hopefully this provides some clues?

 strange!
