 Well, even if it's that, there is no explanation why all the other
 applications (e.g. like Transmission which is far lighter than Pidgin) can
 launch in the notification area without any problem while Pidgin is the
 only one that can't do it properly.

 Now, I think it's Pidgin that must be watched, not all the other
 applications, don't you think?

 Does all the other applications wait until the notification area is
 launched? I don't know, but I think that if it was the case, gnome
 developpers would have told us, no?
