#6419: have to shut down program to receive transfered documents

 Whenever i try to transfer a document, myself and the person I'm sending
 the document to, have to close down pidgin completely. I click on a file i
 want to send either from the desktop or a folder and drag it into the
 message box to send, it will then tell me that the other person canceled
 the transfer(which they never did). It tells the other person that i as
 well, canceled the transfer(which i never did). I have also tried going
 through the conversation menu and selecting send file, and doing that way
 instead of dragging, that doesn't do anything different. I get the same
 result. It seems so difficult to send something. The only way it will
 allow me to send and allow the other person to accept is if after i send
 the file we both shut down pidgin all together. When the program is turned
 back on, the file will appear on the receivers desktop. This shouldn't
 have to be the solution. Any help?
