Comment (by kamil.paral):

Today I have been really surprised, when I got a question from my close
friend, programmer in several languages, linux/freebsd/solaris
administrator, kernel developer, simply very advanced IT guru - "what I
use to connect to Jabber in GNOME (he uses KDE regularly) because Pidgin
supports every shitty protocol except Jabber".

I think people's point of view is strongly influenced by people's
environment. In your environment, your approach may be correct. In my
environment, you are losing a lot of users. I don't expect you will
understand that, you are living in another environment. And I have seen
your reactions. I'm just annoyed by this situation, so I'm whining here.

 >I have no inherent problems at this point with using "XMPP (Jabber)"
 >other than that I think it looks hideously ugly and will be even worse
 >when display in places like the Accounts menu
 >("user at server/resource (XMPP (Jabber))") for example.
No, all that matters is new account window. This bug is only about one
 string changed in one place.
