 I needed per-hostname resources (a single ~/.purple/ for a bunch of
 machines), so I wrote a patch to add it. It allows users to, in addition
 to specifying a normal resource, specify one including "!__HOSTNAME!__",
 which Pidgin will replace with the connecting machine's hostname at
 connect time, or specify "!__NONE!__" as the resource, in which case
 Pidgin won't send a resource, letting the server pick one.
