 In every case, users should still be able to choose the ressource
 themselves.

 1) Allowing the server to choose the ressource makes sense, but only if
 all servers are obliged to support this.

 2) What about using random numeric IDs like "3D64C45B" as resources? I'm
 not shure whether it makes sense.

 3) Another idea that might be worth considering is using default values
 that doesn't have a meaning like "home" that is sometimes wrong, for
 example:
 - somewhere
 - somewhere in nowhere
 - anywhere
 - :-)
 - sirius
 - moon
 - earth
 - milky way
 - atlantis
 - xmpp
 - jabber
