 Putting it in only the Add Account dialog is, as I've explained, not a
 good idea because it makes the UI decidedly inconsistent. Putting it on
 the main page of the website is somewhat reasonable but presumes that
 people actually read it (something I would doubt without further
 evidence). Furthermore, all of these options really only target one avenue
 of potential user confusion and not the myriad other avenues that exist
 (e.g. people who have been using pidgin for years for protocols other than
 XMPP and who only now want to add a 'Jabber' account, will almost
 certainly not be helped by putting it on the website and conversely
 putting it in the Add Account dialog will not help people entirely new to
 pidgin). This is a rather intractable problem as far as I'm concerned
 without going with a consistent "XMPP/Jabber" display choice (an idea I
 absolutely refuse to consider). If someone wanted to make a FAQ entry for
 this that would be acceptable (though I doubt it would get very much
 usage).
