 We have seen numerous people very happy with this change, the fact that
 you haven't is unfortunate, but ultimately both of those opinions are
 irrelevant. The current behaviour exists, we see no reason to change it
 and no reason to provide a preference for this as a plugin could bring
 back the previous "I'm Away!" window with exactly the features people
 would and would not want and is a vastly superior way to bring it back.
 You are free to work on such a plugin if you would like (or ask Google if
 one already exists), it is unlikely that we will be create it.
