 `user at host` on IRC does not have the same meaning as the user's real JID
 on XMPP: you can usefully add the latter to your buddy list, for instance,
 whereas the former is mostly useless.  I don't know how much we care about
 the distinction.  Maybe there should be separate `actual_username` and
 `misc_identity_stuff` fields?
