I've just upgraded pidgin to version Pidgin 2.4.2-1.fc9, using the yum
update of Fedora 9.
When I launch pidgin, from the menu, the application connects to the
several servers (MSN, ICQ, YAHOO, JABBER) and after a few seconds it
crashes without any information. The icon jut disappears from the taskbar.
From the .xsession-errors I get the following:
(gnome-terminal:3481): Vte-WARNING **: No handler for control sequence
`device-control-string' defined.
Pidgin 2.4.2-1.fc9 has segfaulted and attempted to dump a core file.
This is a bug in the software and has happened through
no fault of your own.
If you can reproduce the crash, please notify the developers
