 Just to add some other errors, from another try to launch pidgin:

 dropping the final reference, to allow them to clean up.

 Pidgin 2.4.2-1.fc9 has segfaulted and attempted to dump a core file.
 This is a bug in the software and has happened through
 no fault of your own.
