Comment:

 I will try to describe my use case. I use the alternative smiley set,
 which is much larger then the default one. Besides, it has animated
 smiles. So, I spend some time trying to select a smile (e.g. I wait the
 whole animation of certain smiles to make sure it is relevant). I would
 like to keep track of what is said meanwhile, to make sure my smile is
 still relevant.

 Aside notes:
  1. This window does not behave as a transient one, i.e. it is rather
 slow, especially on my smile set (I will attach it, so that you can try it
 yourself)
  2. It makes no sense to link to mouse anyway, because mouse is clearly at
 the button (we just pressed it!)
