 I've already taken a hit from pidgin 2.2.1 -> 2.3.1 of losing abbreviated
 tab identifiers. Now from 2.3.1 -> 2.4, I lost the ability to resize the

 It stopped abbreviating the tabs between 2.2.1 and 2.3.1.  Here is an
 image of what it looks like when you are in a chat, you click on someone's
 name in that chat, and start a conversation with them using left tab
 placement (this also expands with top or right tab placement as well).

 The host name of the conference was blurred to hide this machine's
 identity, but it is the fully qualified name of the host.
