 This new "feature" has made me start looking for a new IM client. One of
 the reasons I switched to Pidgin was the ability to manually resize the
 text input window. It's removal leaves me unable to use Pidgin, as I tend
 to send long messages (no, I don't send code, and no, '''e-mail would not
 be better''').

 Please revert to the old behavior. It is much-preferred by me and everyone
 I've talked to.

 Why:

 1) I want to control what Pidgin does, not have Pidgin control what I do.
 This is why I also run Linux.

 2) It makes it hard to type longer messages; I prefer the white space as
 the window looks better this way.

 3) It's distracting when the text re-flows.

 4) This new "feature" is a usability travesty in every way imaginable.
