Comment (by quoderat):
This new "feature" has made me start looking for a new IM client. One of
the reasons I switched to Pidgin was the ability to manually resize the
text input window. It's removal leaves me unable to use Pidgin, as I tend
to send long messages (no, I don't send code, and no, '''e-mail would not
be better''').
Please revert to the old behavior. It is much-preferred by me and everyone
I've talked to.
Why:
1) I want to control what Pidgin does, not have Pidgin control what I do.
This is why I also run Linux.
2) It makes it hard to type longer messages; I prefer the white space as
the window looks better this way.
3) It's distracting when the text re-flows.
4) This new "feature" is a usability travesty in every way imaginable.
