 Sorry, I'm just of the opinion that even if there's no known fix to a
 problem, the ticket shouldn't just be bluntly closed. That's how it works
 in all other bugtracking systems I've ever used, and that's how I expect
 it to work.
 And as you say it is a bug in GTK+, wouldn't it make sense to pass it to
 them? (I have no knowledge of the actual GTK+ api so I wouldn't know 'what
 to complain about' if I attempted to do so)
