Comment:

 Ok, so I've tried it two different ways:

 1) with the connect server being the external IP of the jabber server
 (71.153.*.*)
 2) with the connect server being the internal IP of the jabber server
 (192.168.1.1)

 1) works when I'm onsite
 2) does not work when I'm onsite

 I will have to test to see if it works offsite.  I'll let you know.
