#5307: Kopete AIM messages produce error in 2.4.x

Ever since 2.4 was released, I regularly receive messages from people that
they couldn’t read what I wrote to them.
The error message is the following:
(There was an error receiving this message. Either you and {username}
have different encodings selected, or {username} has a buggy client.)
It also does this on plain ASCII messages, which is pretty much common
across every single encoding used today, except for EBCDIC — but I’m on a
PC, so EBCDIC doesn’t even come into the issue. So yeah, I don’t really
see how there could be encoding problems in ASCII.
Since this worked until and not including 2.4.0, and Kopete hasn’t changed
in a while…
If Kopete is broken (not unlikely) — try to work around this, it will be a
while until they make the one for KDE4 usable.
