 For the record, my UI issue is with the "small initial size tiny input
 box".

 I still can not find the argument for why to not have a manual size
 preference. If the argument is that adding more options to the UI is bad
 for inexperienced users, why not an advanced mode like the preferences in
 azureus or about:config in firefox? As I [comment:151 asked] earlier,
 couldn't we even settle for a change to prefs.xml so advanced users, who
 may not be a majority but at least are going to be numerous can have
 manual control back?
