 The windows look really awkward(/busy?) with certain window manager themes
 that don't provide padding that blends in with the currently used GTK
 theme, and even then the top still rubs up against the menubar shadow
 line. Screenshot attached.

 Would it be possible to put some padding around the notebook, or somehow
 tell GTK to not draw the notebook shadows?
