 I appreciate the links! I'll have a go at it tonight, and post back here
 either way.


 I wish turning sounds on were feasible for me, unfortunately I don't have
 speakers hooked up to that computer.  When I need sound I use a wireless
 headset, but I'd rather not have to keep that on at all times.

 The scroll lock thing was just for a simple/harmless keypress to turn off
 the screensaver (I got the idea from my email program), any keypress would
 work.
