 That last commit should get rid of some of the memory usage.

 It looks like the custom smileys are displayed in accounts/protocols that
 don't support custom smileys (e.g. in an AIM conversation). I don't think
 that should happen. Perhaps we should use some ConnectionFlags to
 determine whether the prpl/account supports custom smileys or not, and use
 them appropriately. Thoughts?
