 I don't ever really use my log files for anything, so I haven't checked
 into that... basically what happens is that if I have a chat window open,
 and I close it myself, if that person IMs me a few seconds later the
 window will reappear with our recent conversation.  However, very
 frequently the IM window will just close itself, even if I'm in the middle
 of typing something, and when I reopen the window or when the other person
 says something back, the entire conversation will be gone.  This is
 extremely annoying and as I said, has been happening for almost every
 Pidgin version I've used. I'm on Windows XP.
