 I have 2.4.2 running under Vista. When I right click a buddy, and set it's
 alias, Pidgin pauses, and then a msg appears saying that Pidgin Has
 Stopped Working. This wasn't a problem as far s I know before I updated
 from 2.4.1.

 If there are any logs to look at, please tell me where they would be. I
 did click the System Log menu item, but it tells me that there are no
 logs.
