 In both Pidgin 2.4.1 and 2.5.2, "join" messages don't appear when a user
 joins a room, although presence packets appear in the debug log.

 The joining user will appear in the room roster, however, and other users
 receive 'part' messages when they leave the room.

 Client: Pidgin 2.4.1 and 2.5.2 (Kopete seems to work)
 Jabber Server: Jabberd2 2.2.4
 MUC: Mu-conference 0.7

 Here's what the conversation buffer looks like when I join/part/join/part
 a room:

 (04:42:51 PM) Configuration confirmed: This room is now unlocked.
 (04:43:14 PM) debugbot left the room.
 (04:43:29 PM) debugbot left the room.
