 It is possible with a small trick.
 I tried in pidgin 2.5.1 and its working.

 Steps:

 1. Add the first account in the usual manner.

 2. while adding the second account prefix the account name with " "(space)
 character.
    Example: If the account name is "first.last" then give " first.last".

 3. Do the remaining steps to complete the configuration.

 4. while logging in the application will throw error saying "Invalid
 account name" now remove the space and enjoy both account in the same
 Pidgin.
